Whereas there has been widespread accusations of fraud in the June 2009 presidential elections of Iran,

Whereas the Iranian government has arrested hundreds of students and student leaders who have voiced their protest to the undemocratic ways of the Iranian government,

Whereas the Iranian government has blatantly violated the Federation’s Declaration of Students’ Rights, especially those pertaining to the right to organize and the right to justice in the educational community,

Whereas there has been recent attempts to raise awareness of the repression of students in Iran across the world,

Whereas Students’ Day in Iran is on 16 Azar (December 7th), commemorating the historical opposition of Iranian Students towards oppression of tyranny,

Whereas there are expected student protests as well as violent government repression of those protests,

Be It furthur Resolved that, the Federation endorses the following statement,
